Rick Thompson

Rick Thompson is the president and co-founder of Greentech Media, the industry leading digital media and market research firm covering green technologies. Greentech Media has amassed the largest online community of green technology professionals focused on next-generation solutions covering green power generation, distribution and consumption.

Prior to founding Greentech Media, Rick was a senior analyst with Heavy Reading, the market research arm of telecom media outlet Light Reading. Earlier in his career, Rick held engineering, marketing and executive management positions at a variety of technology companies including PanGo Networks, Sycamore Networks, Packet Engines (acquired by Alcatel-Lucent) and Fore Systems (acquired by Ericsson).

Rick holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
